Presented by the National Wellness Institute (NWI)—formed in 1977 to realize the mission of providing health promotion and wellness professionals unparalleled resources and services that fuel professional and personal growth—the NWC is a “wellness immersion” built upon the premise that professional development and personal growth are interdependent and should be enhanced equally.
The NWC Student Scholarship provides each recipient with a Main Conference (Monday, July 18 through Thursday, July 21, 2011) registration waiver. , The scholarship does not cover Pre-Conference Certificate and Intensive programs (most of which take place July 16 and July 17), meals, housing, transportation, or other expenses incurred through participation in the NWC; the recipient is responsible for these selections.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be enrolled full-time as a graduate or undergraduate student in an academic health Promotion/wellness program or related field. Students graduating in May 2011 may apply.
• Only one student from a respective college/university will be selected for a National Wellness Conference Student Scholarship.
• Education level, cultural and ethnic diversity, and geographical representation may be taken into consideration during the selection process.
Applicants must complete this form and attach the following:
• A 150- to 250-word description of your career goals
• A 150- to 250-word description explaining why you would like to attend the National Wellness Conference
Applications must be received by April 22, 2011.
Notification of receipt of application will be sent via e-mail within 10 days of receipt.
The scholarship award winner will be announced by May 5, 2011.
